About
Dr. Shriya Palchaudhuri is the Associate Director of the Rohini Nilekani Centre for Brain and Mind at the National Centre for Biological Sciences, Bangalore. She strengthens RN-CBM’s biological and data resources, builds scientific partnerships across research, clinical practice, policy and philanthropy, moving neuroscience research from discovery to impact. She has obtained her PhD at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland and pursued a postdoc at the New York University, USA, funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation Fellowship. Her research has delved into understanding the neural mechanisms that underlie learning and transforming sensation to action. Since then, her career has shifted from probing neural circuits in the lab, to turning rigorous research into societal and policy impact through various roles at organizations in India and abroad, such as the Global Swiss Fellows Network, NYU’s Diplomacy Council, the Roosevelt House Forum and so on.
